Memorize a Shuffled Deck of Cards!

There are 3 steps in memorizing a shuffled deck of cards.

1.  Assign a character to each card:

Prepare a list of 52 characters, one for each of the 52 cards. One should be aware of the unique features or qualities of each character. More the unique features a character have, the more easily a card can be memorized.



Once the list is ready:
 a) Recall characters by seeing cards.
 b) Recall cards by seeing characters.

Stick to this step only, until the recall time for a) and b) becomes under 1 minute.

2. Make a Journey:

Now, prepare a list of 52 places for your journey. This journey will help us in memorizing the order of cards. A journey based on daily life is the best. At each place of journey, we will make a character busy.

Stick to this step only, until the recall time for your journey becomes under 30 seconds.

3. Travel the Journey:

Take a deck of cards and shuffle it. Now, travel the journey.

Make busy the character of 1st card to 1st place
Make busy the character of 2nd card to 2nd place
Make busy the character of 3rd card to 3rd place

Make busy the character of 52nd card to 52nd place

More extreme the action used to make a character busy at a place, more easy it will be to recall.
After memorizing the deck, have faith on yourself and recall back. There may be a lot of mistakes in the beginning or one may not be able to even memorize the whole deck. But practice a lot and you will be done.

Let us take an example of 3 cards:

CARD                                NickName                             CHARACTER

          9H                                         Michael Jackson

            9S                                        Sachin Tendulkar 

             9C                                         A beautiful lady( choose yourself)
                                                       







Let, the 3 places of our journey are:

Bed           TV           Garden

Let the order of shuffled cards be:            
9C           9S         9H

So, we can travel our journey as:

A beautiful lady was kissing in the bed. Today, I am seeing the match on TV in which Sachin scored 200 runs. There was a rush of crowd seeing the Michael Jackson doing moon-walk in the garden.

So, above traveled journey is your memorization of cards. You will have to make a different journey for different shuffled deck.

Now, recall as :
A beautiful lady was kissing in the bed.
 - means 9C is the first card.

I am seeing the match on TV in which Sachin scored 200 runs.
 - means 9S is the second card.

There was a rush of crowd seeing the Michael Jackson doing moon-walk in the garden.
 - means 9H is the third card.

You can assume green-marked words as features/qualitites.
